The majority are identified as Cataclysmic Variables with magnetic white dwarf primaries suggesting that this subclass could be an important costituent of the galactic population of X-ray sources. In this paper I present the results of an on-going follow-up progamme in the X-rays aiming at identifying the true nature of newly discovered sources. | Titolo del convegno: | The Universe of Digital Sky Surveys: a Meeting to Honour the 70th Birthday of Massimo Capaccioli | Luogo del convegno: | Napoli, Italy | Periodo del convegno: | 25-28 November, 2014 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/24485 | URL: | http://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007%2F978-3-319-19330-4_40 | ISSN: | 1570-6591 | ISBN: | 978-3-319-19329-8 | DOI: | 10.1007/978-3-319-19330-4_40 | Bibcode ADS: | 2016ASSP...42..257D | Fulltext: | reserved |
