Issue Date: | 2023 | Number: | GAMMA-FLASH-002-ICD | Abstract: | The GAMMA-FLASH Data Acquisition and Control System (DACS) is modular and is composed of one or more Data Acquisition Modules (DAMs) and one Main Control Computer (MCC). DAM units are based on Red Pitaya 125-14 boards running dedicated application software on Linux OS. Each DAM is in charge of collecting and processing the data from at least one gamma-ray or neutron detector and saving such data on-board or transferring it to the MCC. The aim of this document is to describe both the functional and the TC/TM interfaces implemented by the DAM and the MCC and to give a unique reference for the installation and configuration of the DACS SW.
