Abstract
This document presents the results of a preliminary assessment of the number of stars available in the EUCLID FGS Field Of View (FOV) to support Absolute Tracking Mode (ATM) operations, in compliance with the performance requirements and constraints detailed in Bosco (2016, "Euclid FGS Star Catalogue Statement of Work", AD 1). After a short description of the characteristics of our astronomical dataset, we have used it to analyze object counts in ten selected regions and produced the corresponding plots and statistics.
