EUCLID FGS Star Catalogue Performance Assessment

Abstract
This document presents an assessment of five of the eight initial Reference Star Catalogues (RSC) covering 11°x11° sky regions presented by Spagna A. et al. (EUCLID-TN-OATo-001), plus an additional RSC catalog of a 1°x1° sky region at low galactic latitude. The data have been extracted from the OATo Star Catalog Database, as described in technical note of Smart R.L. et al. (EUCLID-TN-OATo-002). The assessment is based on the requirements detailed by Bosco A (2016, EUCL-TAST-RS-2-056). Also, an attempt at comparing a IGSL-based with a GAIA-based RSC is made by relying of the highquality low-galactic catalog as template of the real sky, having adopted the expected astrometric accuracy and completeness of the GAIA’s 3rd catalog release.
