Title: | Multi Conjugate Adaptive Optics Demonstrator, Layer Oriented WFS Assembly Integration and Test Plan | Authors: | FARINATO, JACOPO Viard, Elise RAGAZZONI, Roberto BARUFFOLO, Andrea DIOLAITI, EMILIANO ARCIDIACONO, CARMELO |
Issue Date: | 2002 | Number: | OWL-PLA-INA-60000-0065 | Abstract: | The ESO Multi-Conjugate Adaptive Optics Demonstrator (MAD) has been identified as an essential component to demonstrate on sky MCAO techniques, both for the OWL 100-m telescope concept and for the ESO VLT 2nd Generation instrumentation. MAD is intended to be a Multi-Conjugate Adaptive Optics prototype to be tested at VLT Nasmyth Focus. It is conceived as a fast track project by re-using as much as possible key components developed in the scope of existing VLT AO systems. The scope of this document is to present the Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) plan of the Layer Oriented Wavefront Sensor for the MAD Multi Conjugated Adaptive Optics Demonstrator and the AIT of all its sub-systems, considering the following aspects: software, electronics, electrical, optical and mechanical. 4 AIT | Note: | Discussed at the Multi-conjugate Adaptive optics Demonstrator (MAD) LayerOriented WaveFront Sensor (LOWFS) Final Design Review (2002). MAD was the European Southern Observatory (ESO) demonstrator of both Multi ConjugateAdaptive Optics (MCAO) techniques in Star Oriented and Layer Oriented modes looking forward to the ESO OverWhelmingly Large telescope (OWL). | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/33771 | Fulltext: | reserved |
