Titolo: | Layer Oriented Wavefront Sensor Test Report | Autori: | ARCIDIACONO, CARMELO FARINATO, JACOPO RAGAZZONI, Roberto LOMBINI, MATTEO Gentile, Giorgia DIOLAITI, EMILIANO |
Data pubblicazione: | 2008 | Numero: | MAD-TRE-0037 | Abstract: | The Layer Oriented WaveFront Sensor (LOWFS) for the MAD experiment has been integrated on the MAD bench in May 2006 after a re-alignment phase, both performed at ESO (Garching). In June it was aligned to the MAD bench taking particular care to make coinciding the F/20 focal plane of the bench with the entering focal plane of the sensor. While July has been used mainly for software debugging at the end of September started the actual testing phase. In this report, we present the tests to evaluate the performance of MAD in Single Conjugate Adaptive Optics (SCAO), Ground Layer Adaptive Optics (GLAO), and Multi Conjugate Adaptive Optics (MCAO) mode. We studied also the influence of the source magnitude on the performance, even if only in SCAO mode. | Note: | The document was presented for Preliminary Acceptance (Europe 2, ESO-Garching) of the Multi-conjugate Adaptive optics Demonstrator (MAD) LayerOriented WaveFront Sensor (LOWFS). It includes the laboratory test performed for the test of the Layer Oriented pyramid WFS to properly perform Wavefront Sensing operations. MAD was the European Southern Observatory (ESO) demonstrator of both Multi ConjugateAdaptive Optics (MCAO) techniques in Star Oriented and Layer Oriented modes looking forward to the ESO OverWhelmingly Large telescope (OWL). | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/33773 | Fulltext: | reserved |
