Title: | Thermal Filters for the ATHENA X-IFU: Conceptual Design, Performance Modelling and Preliminary Characterization Tests | Authors: | BARBERA, Marco LO CICERO, UGO SCIORTINO, LUISA D'ANCA, FABIO Lo Cicero, Giuseppe TODARO, Michela PUCCIO, ELENA MONTINARO, NICOLA |
Issue Date: | 2020 | Number: | XIFU-UNPA-THF-TN-0001-i01-r02 | Abstract: | This document describes the activities on design, modelling and characterization of the thermal filters (TF) for the ATHENA X-ray Integral Field Unit (X-IFU) conducted so far within the on-going Phase-A. The goal of such activities is to define a filter conceptual design, consolidate the requirements, and identify paths to overcome identified criticalities or lack of compliance to the requirements, which have to be met in the following development phases of the project. At the same time, preliminary characterization tests are useful to start the process needed to demonstrate TRL 5/6 before mission adoption (2021). | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/33905 | Fulltext: | reserved |
