Title: | The Medicina Support Activities for Surveillance Validation and Operations - Progress Report | Authors: | Salerno, Emma PUPILLO, Giuseppe |
Issue Date: | 2012 | Abstract: | In the framework of the Space Situational Awareness Precursor Programme (SSA-PP), the European Space Agency (ESA) required the Istituto di Radioastronomia of the Italian Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF-IRA) to develop and execute a work plan under the Statement of Work SSA-SST-RAD-SOW-0001: Medicina Support Activities for Surveillance Validation and Operations. The purpose of the work plan was to check the suitability of the INAF-IRA Northern Cross radio telescope to participate in the SSA program. In particular UHF-band measurements at the Medicina observing site were required in order to test the Northern Cross array as receiving part of a ground-based radar system for space debris monitoring at different orbital regions. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/33930 | Fulltext: | reserved |
