dc.description.abstract | Over the last two years of operation, the strip cooler has shown some malfunctions that prevented it from reaching the expected performance, in terms of minimum absolute temperature and thermal stability. For these reasons, its refurbishment with a brand new unit is mandatory. A possible candidate to replace it has been identified: actually, the cryocooler model currently integrated is no more available on the market. Scope of this document is to estimate the performance expected for the possible candidate, based on the analysis of the data coming from the several cooldowns of the Strip cryostat, performed over the last two years. | en_US |
