We analyse the stability of filamentary molecular clouds with the help of cylindrical polytropic models with and without helical magnetic fields. We then focus on the growth of hydrodynamical density perturbations and the formation of sub-structures and fragments in pre-stellar cores.ELETTRONICOenPolytropic Models of Filamentary Molecular Clouds and Sub-Structure Formation in Starless CoresMultimedia10.5281/zenodo.1116232https://zenodo.org/record/1116232#.X0t3dS-B3-Y2017ami..confE..10TFIS/05 - ASTRONOMIA E ASTROFISICA
