Particularly impressive has been the development of Asteroseismology for stars showing solar-like oscillations, which are excited and intrinsically damped in stars with convective envelopes. Here I will review on the modern era of Asteroseismology with emphasis on results obtained for solar-like stars and discuss its potential for the advancement of stellar physics.ELETTRONICOenA review on AsteroseismologyConference paper10.22323/1.269.00292-s2.0-85040649357pos.sissa.it/269/0292016frap.confE..29DFIS/05 - ASTRONOMIA E ASTROFISICAScienze Fisiche Settori ERC (ERC) di riferimento::PE9 Universe sciences: astro-physics/chemistry/biology; solar systems; stellar, galactic and extragalactic astronomy, planetary systems, cosmology, space science, instrumentation
