In particular we analyse three scenarios in order to evaluate the effect of TSA capability to damp temperature fluctuations at the sorption cooler cold end. The first scenario is one in which the TSA is completely off and the LFI is subject to the complete spectrum of the cold end temperature variations. The second scenario is one in which the TSA is working nominally and the third scenario is one in which the TSA is working in a not-nominal situation because of sorption cooler aging. The analysis, performed with two, independent methods, show clearly a negative impact of the increased level of temperature fluctuations on the LFI maps.
