The assembly, integration and main verification of the GWS DX lasted from June 2010 to February 2012. The system was integrated and aligned in the optical laboratory of the Astronomical Observatory of Padova (INAF–OAPD). In March 2012 the system was delivered to MPIA in Heidelberg where further tests have been performed until October 2012.
