At completion, the survey will have collected detailed photometric information of ∼ 100 bright early-type galaxies to study the properties of diffuse light (surface brightness, colours, SBF, etc.) and the clustered light (compact stellar systems) out to previously unreached projected galactocentric radii. VEGAS-SSS will define an accurate and homogeneous dataset that will have an important legacy value for studies of the evolution and transformation processes taking place in galaxies through the fossil information provided by SSSs.STAMPAenVEGAS-SSS: A VST Early-Type GAlaxy Survey: Analysis of Small Stellar SystemConference paper10.1007/978-3-319-19330-4_252-s2.0-84978955052000389802600026https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007%2F978-3-319-19330-4_252016ASSP...42..157CFIS/05 - ASTRONOMIA E ASTROFISICAERC sectors::Physical Sciences and Engineering::PE9 Universe sciences: astro-physics/chemistry/biology; solar systems; stellar, galactic and extragalactic astronomy, planetary systems, cosmology, space science, instrumentation::PE9_8 Formation and evolution of galaxies
