The main target is to characterize the abundance and distribution of water ice and other volatiles so the challenge is to preserve volatiles in samples during the drilling transfer and analysis. In this work we provided numerical simulations in order to predict the expected ice sublimation rates and inform the system's development. Simulations are characterized by different initial boundary conditions as well as thermodynamic parameters and carried out on a cylinder representing a lunar regolith sample of the south polar region.STAMPAenPROSPECTING the Moon: Numerical simulations of temperature and sublimation rate of a cylindric sampleArticle10.1016/j.pss.2019.03.0022-s2.0-85063050761000465056000002https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0032063318303519?via%3Dihub2019P&SS..169....8FFIS/05 - ASTRONOMIA E ASTROFISICA
