Abstract
The MCP detector used as direct detector for particle at low energy (<1keV) is an innovative application of this kind of device. The object of our investigation is the detection efficiency of this system at very low energy. Very few data exist about MCP efficiency for particles at low energy. The reason is the lack of facilities and the innovative and unusual application. In this document we report the selected parameters of ELENA MCP type detector to answer the ELENA requirements and test results obtained in Bern University at ENA beam facility (MEFISTO).
