Abstract
In the framework of the Space Situational Awareness Precursor Program (SSA-PP), the European Space Agency (ESA) required the Istituto di Radioastronomia of the Italian Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF-IRA) to develop and execute a work plan under the Statement of Work SSA-SST-RAD-SOW-0001: Medicina Support Activities for Surveillance Validation and Operations. The purpose of the work plan was to check the suitability of the INAF-IRA Northern Cross radio telescope to participate in the SSA program. In particular UHF-band measurements at the Medicina observing site were required in order to test the Northern Cross array as receiving part of a ground-based radar system for space debris monitoring at different orbital regions. In this report, the INAF-IRA is providing information about the whole execution of the work plan.
