Abstract
ELENA FS is a scientific Flight Back-Up (FBU) of SERENA Unit for BepiColombo mission. It is dedicated to Low Energetic Neutral Particle detection. The ELENA FS follows the ELENA FM design. The only difference between the two models is in the Shutter system application. This document describes detailed ELENA FBU calibration plan and calibration equipment to verify ELENA FBU performances. The ELENA crucial and innovative elements have been independently tested and then assembled in the instrument.
