Abstract
The present document defines the X-IFU CryoAC cold stage requirements in terms of functions, scientific/mission performances, design, environments, interfaces, development and other general concerns applicable throughout the life of the project. This document represents the CryoAC cold stage generated and controlled set of needs, then requirements from which lower level documents shall be derived and documented in the relevant project plans and specifications. The technical requirements contained in this document allow for potential suppliers/partners to propose the best technical and programmatic solutions, i.e. the intention of the requirements is not to assume or refer to specific solutions, except in specific cases (explicitly notified). This document is the technical reference for the qualification of the design and for the acceptance of the end product. In that scope, the technical requirements are subject to the agreed of parties involved. They are attainable and verifiable (the change process itself can change in between project phases (Phase A, B, C/D)).
