Abstract
The present document describes the Failure Detection Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) procedures implemented by the ASW application software running inside the NISP DPU processors and the FDIR procedures directly implemented on the NISP WE hardware, namely the procedures directly under ASW software supervision and those to be managed at higher level.
The present NISP-DPU FDIR reference directly to the NISP Instrument FMEA risk table (DPU part) reported in AD 6, 7 and RD 3, here reviewed on the base of the more advanced level of the HW design:
- Catastrophic Failure (G 1): Failure propagation from NISP instrument to the spacecraft or the other instruments.
- Critical Failure (G 2): Loss of all primary science objectives.
- Major Fault (G 3): Major Degradation of the mission Loss of 1 or 2 primary objectives.
