Temperature-dependent VNIR spectroscopy of magnesium chlorides

Abstract
We present reflectance spectral profiles of magnesium chlorides obtained in the lab at temperatures and grain sizes representative of real planetary surfaces. These spectral profiles will greatly aid the interpretation of hyperspectral images obtained by the MISE and MAJIS imaging spectrometers carried onboard Europa Clipper and JUICE, respectively.
