Abstract
This document provides a description of the needs and associated constraints resulting from the different trade-offs for the NI-DPU scientific data processing task. It aims at demonstrating that the design complies with the requirements as in AD-1.
This document, together with the Design Definition Document (AD-3) and the Requirement Specifications (AD-1) will be the basic documents used for the development of the data processing software and will be updated accordingly during the different project phases.
The sequence of the processing pipeline steps is detailed with specific cases deserving special care.
Together with the specific test reports, this document will contain results obtained during the evolution of the design as a consequence of the activities performed during the design process and of the evolution of upper level requirements:
- Analysis and trade-off reports concerning the evaluation of alternative design solutions and the justification of the choice.
- All results obtained during the verification of the design as a consequence of the activities performed during the verification process
