The design foresees a high-efficiency spectrograph with a resolutionslit product of 4,500, capable of simultaneously observing the complete spectral range 350 - 1750 nm with a good sensitivity, with light imaging capabilities in the visible band. This paper outlines the status of the project. | Conference Name: | Ground-based and Airborne Instrumentation for Astronomy VI | Conference Place: | Edinburgh, United Kingdom | Conference Date: | 26 June - 1 July 2016 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/26004 | URL: | https://www.spiedigitallibrary.org/conference-proceedings-of-spie/9908/1/The-new-SOXS-instrument-for-the-ESO-NTT/10.1117/12.2231866.full | ISSN: | 0277-786X | ISBN: | 9781510601956 | DOI: | 10.1117/12.2231866 | Bibcode ADS: | 2016SPIE.9908E..41S | Fulltext: | open |
