Title: | An LBT view of the Andromeda's satellite galaxies | Authors: | CUSANO, FELICE GAROFALO, Alessia CLEMENTINI, Gisella Cignoni, Michele |
Issue Date: | 2017 | Journal: | EPJ WEB OF CONFERENCES | Volume: | Wide-Field Variability Surveys: A 21st Century Perspective – 22nd Los Alamos Stellar Pulsation | Editors: | Catelan, M.; Gieren, W. | Number: | 152 | First Page: | 01015 | Abstract: | Results are presented on deep (V ∼ 26.5 mag) time series observations of four dwarf spheroidal galaxies (dSphs) in the Andromeda (M31) complex, namely, And XIX, And XXI, And XXV and And XXVII, that we have observed with the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT). We discovered in these galaxies a total of over 200 RR Lyrae stars and 19 Anomalous Cepheids. We also characterised the stellar populations and the spatial distributions of these dSphs. | Conference Name: | Wide-Field Variability Surveys: A 21st Century Perspective – 22nd Los Alamos Stellar Pulsation – Conference Series Meeting | Conference Place: | San Pedro de Atacama, Chile | Conference Date: | November 28 – December 2, 2016 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/28040 | URL: | https://www.epj-conferences.org/articles/epjconf/abs/2017/21/epjconf_puls2017_01015/epjconf_puls2017_01015.html | ISSN: | 2101-6275 | ISBN: | 978-2-7598-9024-8 | DOI: | 10.1051/epjconf/201715201015 | Bibcode ADS: | 2017EPJWC.15201015C | Fulltext: | open |
