This work aims at revising the prospects for GRB alerts with the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) based on the new LAT results. We start considering the simulation of the observations with the full CTA of two extremely bright events, the long GRB 130427A and the short GRB 090510, then we investigate how these GRBs would be observed by a particular configuration of the array with the telescopes pointing to different directions in what is called the "coupled divergent mode". | Conference Name: | RICAP16, 6th Roma International Conference on Astroparticle Physics | Conference Place: | Rome, Italy | Conference Date: | 21-24 June, 2016 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/30128 | URL: | https://www.epj-conferences.org/articles/epjconf/abs/2017/05/epjconf_ricap2017_03019/epjconf_ricap2017_03019.html | ISSN: | 2101-6275 | DOI: | 10.1051/epjconf/201713603019 | Bibcode ADS: | 2017EPJWC.13603019B | Fulltext: | open |
