Titolo: | Multi Conjugate Adaptive Optics Demonstrator, Layer Oriented WFS, Preliminary Acceptance Europe 1 | Autori: | ARCIDIACONO, CARMELO LOMBINI, MATTEO SCHREIBER, LAURA FARINATO, JACOPO RAGAZZONI, Roberto DIOLAITI, EMILIANO |
Data pubblicazione: | 2005 | Numero: | OWL-TRE-INA-60000-0173 | Abstract: | The ESO Multi-Conjugate Adaptive Optics Demonstrator (MAD) has been identified as an essential component to demonstrate on-sky MCAO techniques, both for the OWL 100-m telescope concept and for the ESO VLT 2nd Generation instrumentation. MAD is intended to be a Multi-Conjugate Adaptive Optics prototype to be tested at VLT Visitor Focus (UT3). It is conceived as a fast-track project by re-using as much as possible key components developed in the scope of existing VLT AO systems. The scope of this document is to present the test relative to the preliminary acceptance test of the LOWFS in INAF - Arcetri. INAF Arcetri team performed the acceptance tests and include the results in this document. | Note: | The document was discussed at the Preliminary Acceptance (Europe 1) of the Multi-conjugate Adaptive optics Demonstrator (MAD) LayerOriented WaveFront Sensor (LOWFS). It includes the laboratory test performed for the test of the Layer Oriented pyramid WFS to properly perform Wavefront Sensing operations. MAD was the European Southern Observatory (ESO) demonstrator of both Multi ConjugateAdaptive Optics (MCAO) techniques in Star Oriented and Layer Oriented modes looking forward to the ESO OverWhelmingly Large telescope (OWL). | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/33772 | Fulltext: | reserved |
