Abstract
The NIR Science Pipeline is composed by different Work Packages (WP) that deal to acquire row data, clean the input data by removing observational and instrumental effects, and create the images with astrometry and the relative catalogs. It's possible to divide science Pipeline in some main steps: 1. Init - (data initialization) 2. Pre-reduction [Bad pixel masking - Persistence correction] (in common with OU- SIR Pipeline) 3. Pre-processing/1 [Ghost and scattered light - Flat Field Corr.] 4. Pre-processing/2 [Super Flat Corr. and Illumination Corr.] 5. Astrometry [Relative Astrometry Corr.] 6. Photometry [Relative and absolute Photometry Corr.] 7. Resampling and Stacking 8. Catalogues and Transients The WP for Catalog Extraction (WP-7100 NIR_CatalogExtraction) is described in this document. The code for the pipeline must be developed using the LOcal DEvelopmeent ENvironement (LODEEN). LODEEN is a Virtual Machine (VM) that allows Euclid developers to develop the code on their computer independently of their O/S. The main goal of LODEEN is to provide the same environment for all Euclid developers. This environment (Euclid Development ENvironment - EDEN) has to be as close as possible to the production environment, so developers avoid having compatibility problems of their code on production servers. LODEEN is a virtual machine with a Scientific Linux desktop, that contain also some compilers (C++ and python), software and scientific libraries.
