Abstract
The current standard Deformable Mirror (DM) technology suffers from a creep effect, in which the actuators, if not checked by a direct measurement of their positions (as in the central area seen by the LGS close loop) will “creep”, i.e. slowly drift as a function of their past command history. The purpose of this document is to list the possible consequences of this effect and quantify their impact on MAVIS (performance, function, etc).
