Title: | A Homogeneous Stellar Sample for the Study of Metal-Rich Populations | Authors: | Chavez, M. Malagnini, M. L. BUZZONI, Alberto MOROSSI, Carlo |

Focal Points in Latin American Astronomy | Number: | 11 | First Page: | 81 | Abstract: | We report on preliminary results of a project intended to construct a homogeneous spectroscopic data base of super metal-rich stars (SMR). The data base will serve as a tool for studies of old stellar populations. Using the flu x fitting method we have compared mid-resolution spectroscopic data of a sample o f SMR candidates with a grid of synthetic spectra and derived simultaneously the three leading atmospheric parameters (Teff, log {g}, [M/H]). | Conference Name: | Focal Points in Latin American Astronomy | Conference Place: | Tonantzintla, Mexico | Conference Date: | November 9-13, 1998 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12386/34660 | ISSN: | 1405-2059 | Bibcode ADS: | 2001RMxAC..11...81C | Fulltext: | open |
